From Siam to Singapore Again
"And the relevance of the developments in Thailand to Singapore, however remote, is something to reflect on. I ask again, can Singapore's head of state, the president, play an effective check and balance role in any political crisis in Singapore? Will Singapore's judiciary, objectively settle political disputes without fear or favour?"

The King of Thailand is revered by Thai people even though he is only a constitutional monarch. Is the President of Singapore revered by Singaporeans, even if elected by Singaporeans?
Look at all the conditions to qualify to be President! Then look at what happened to OTC when he tried to do his job!
Look up "Finland Plan" on the net. TRT (Thai Rak Thai) is gonna sue anyone who makes "unfounded" allegations.
