Aggregators of the Singapore blogosphere that have a human deciding on which blog posts to highlight are either extremely pro-death penalty or pro-PAP. While they continue to follow the editorial briefing of the Straits Times they are as good as working for the state controlled media.

Prove me wrong.

sgBlogs is a not even launched blog aggregator for Singapore. Its automated and smarter and fairer than any human. See your article here:
It will show similar posts elsewhere in the sg blogosphere, and even similar blogs!

I guess what is damnededed important to 1 person can usually mean nothing to a whole lot of others.

Then again, maybe you shouldn't be so quick to condemn the blog aggregators as after all, you ARE the highest linked to Singapore blog

I am in no way condemning them by alligning them with the PAP.

And I am aware that the world does not revolve around my personal thoughts. But for an ENTIRE nation, except for 10 or 12 people, not giving a damn about an issue, any issue in their country that makes international headlines is bizarre to say the least.

Surely someone in Singapore has noticed this story. I cannot understand how all of 4 million people didn't see what just happened.

I am glad i am not the only one noticing it. Some of the blogs regularly featured by these aggregators are deceiving and subtly pro-PAP. But oh well this is free speech on the net, as long as one is aware so be it.

The world did not react to the hanging of two men in Singapore.

You are showing us news media around the world picked up the news. It is just one of many news they pick up daily to fill the content. The people who filed it is chasing after the next news to fill the content now. They have forgotten the news, the death. Don't expect the people who read the news to REACT. They moved on already. Remember Australians? This time round, the two victims were not Australians. So there was no protest, no REACTION.

You are sad and angry. Understand. But it is not right to accuse others just because you are upset.

The aggregators made their own choice what they want to put up. So, why do you want to accuse them of being aligned with PAP? That's a big leap of logic you made.

Anonymous said...

This is what sites like Singabloodypore and Singapore Election Watch do. They tell others about upholding the freedom of speech, and they bully and intimidate others when they don't do what they want.

This is the kind of double standards that these people spout. They go out and preach their liberal views about freedom of speech, but in the end, making up the same set of lies like the group of people that they are up against.

If an event is not picked up by tomorrow.sg and intelligent singaporean, they will accuse them of aligning with PAP. This is the kind of people who wants to talk about free speech and make accusations just because others don't do what you want.

No wonder the silent majority is not listening because you are not even worth listening to. Such a lack of integrity and honesty.

Those people have yet to come in contact with death will not really understand the preciousnesss of humnan life. Unfortunately, we have one good example and that is our dear minilee who had suffered from cancer twice but still cannot wake up to his senses. How could one expect people like some anonymous above feel for others' sufferings.

er b'hood, pls relax. i have dealt with his accusations, pls give Soci the right of reply.

Ah, yes, for dear Anonymous and his "people", ignorance must be bliss.

They don't hear, they don't see, their world is a wonderful place where everyone agrees with them.

How did you think reaction to Wee Shu Min saga got started?

Q: What does Soci do when he gets flack and backlash from his own co-writers for calling the blogosphere infantile?

A: You call the blog aggregators a front for the PAP!

My niece Natasha has done a great job in teaching Soci the course Accusation 101. Like his friends from Singabloodypore, they will continue to make false accusations on the other bloggers in being PAP stooges.

Brotherhood, let's help to take them to hell and discuss their treachery.

Soci,

Good job with the post.
Tomorrow and IS are aligned with PAP. They bow to the government out of fear and they want to see the poor African boy die.

Brotherhood:

We dare you to come to Singapore Election Watch to make trouble. You bunch of fools and definitely supporters of PAP. If you can take down Singabloodypore in one day, we will destroy your entire brotherhood.

"How did you think reaction to Wee Shu Min saga got started?"

You should know better. You can give two events the same coverage but only the event that people care will see the reaction. The elite saga raised issues that are personal to many people. The execution was not something people felt related to them. You can say the people are self-centred. It is a matter of whether you can connect the people with the event.

Australia reported this execution, but there was no protest like last time. Simply say, not Australian, no connection.

Let there be sincerity in the advocacy process now. It unfortunately appears that activists and political parties did not stand up for convicted murderers like Took Leng How as they feared a public backlash for siding with a clear cut villain. If this was indeed the case, then all is lost in the anti-death penalty camp. Then it shows that there is no categorical condemnation of the death penalty as inhumane in the Singapore justice system. Any condemnation previously is merely politicised and opportunistic to defy the government , and nothing is actually done to make a real difference.

We would like to point out that this individual is not representative of our site, Singapore Election Watch.

We strongly condemn all individuals seeking to discredit Singapore Election Watch through such lowly means.

What I find interesting is that any article written by Singaporeans dont seem to want to cover the fact that the judge found no evidence that the guy knew he was carrying drugs. Kind of proved the part of his charge showing he had no knowledge and therefore shouldnt have been held accounted. HOWEVER, international papers are mentioning it. Would have thought that Singapore, where the news happened, would want to report on all aspects of what happened and not just the brief "our laws did good, we punished another offender, you are safe" sort of reporting.

I guess any story can be spun to make the people reading it think that it is right.

We just want to make it very clear to everyone, we do not in any way either support or condone the suggestion the brotherhood is a supporter of the PAP.

We like to point out that we supported what this guy said. We strongly support Soci's claims that Tomorrow.sg and IS are stooges of the PAP. Those people who claim that we have been discredited are talking rubbish.

We are not retracting our claims to the brotherhood. They support the PAP.

Anonymous said...

Again there is someone here who is misrepresenting others SE, IS, Soci, brotherhood even the Singabloodpore, we just hope the brotherhood will be kind enough to ignore all this mischievious post. They are designed for one purpose to divide, confuse and to misrepresent.

Every government takes care of their own citizen - in this case Nigerian president issued a statement. While every country has the sovereign right to formulate and apply it's own policy to protect their citizen, in australia, death penalty is against the constitution.

When was the last time your PAP govt took care of you? Last time I knew they are planning to raise GST without receiving some type of approval from public."In fact majority of the public oppose it...is it stopping them? They even resorted to propaganda to make their case.. Yes thats the kind of fairytale they are feeding you! Is this the sort of government we want? We deserve? We should pay for?

was not written by me and therefore someone has hacked into my account. I wonder how keen the police are to investigate this, as it is an offence in Singapore?

Can someone explain to me what causes so much offence if you are accused of being alligned with the PAP. Over 66% of the population support them - are you saying that no one on line supports the PAP. The PAP are a political party with policies and an agenda that provides a lot of economic stability, and yet no one supports them???

I think you better make a police report, someone here is definitely pretending to be someone who they are not

Infact I am going to make a report soon

Anonymous said...

I think we can all agree on one thing, there is a very sad and frustrated dickhead here who wants to pretend to be everyone except himself. I feel sorry for this poor soul, he should be pitied. Bc he hates himself.

No one here is dumb enough to believe SE sent all those post and everyone knows the brotherhood never came here

Hey look how smart, I am. I must be God!

The Brotherhood recently went to mr Miyagi's blog to threaten to hack his site. If i'm not wrong that threat alone constitutes an illegal action in itself. Please let us know when you do your police report, i may wish to add onto that.

This is classic harrasment by The Brotherhood. Everytime they come in and post, they start doing multiple posts by impersonating others. Soci. if you dont believe me, go check your comments log and check out the IP addresses of those leaving comments. You will see for yourself. As for Hacking accounts- The Brotherhood has already said that they CAN do it so it looks like they HAVE carried out their threat and hacked into this site's account information. Beware of these troublemakers. Thanks to these studpid tricks poor bloggers like Galye Goh have been harrassed into quitting. Go check her site if you dont believe me.
