Chiam See Tong in Potong Pasir

Mr Chiam See Tong has been MP of Potong Pasir for the past 22 years.

Look at how he gets MOBBED by the crowd in the video below. They simply adore this man. He has been loyal, honest, dignified and dedicated, yet he has remained as modest as ever. For virtually all of his life, he fought against all odds because he believed that Singapore needed an alternative voice.

  3. Absolutely touching. Let's hope and pray that all the love translates into votes and that they will get to keep their idol.

  7. i was shocked to find that this bloodypore website actually talked abt Chiam See Tong and even has his clip!

Well, I used to live there. I'm just upset that I cannot vote as a resident there once i turned 21. So happened move away and the opposition party for my estate is SDP! Wapiang. As a true 'Chiam See Tong is my fav MP', u should know my feelings for SDP.

I am so happy and relieve that he has win. Initially i was afraid he might lose due to age but i still choose to believe he will win. because if i'm a resident, i will still vote for him no matter how old he is! :)

    Potong Pasir! Chiam See Tong!!!

  8. oh ya, forgot to add that the papers are really unfair. So many people standing by the road, waiting for his arrival etc but only Strait Times reporter mentioned and show the pic. This is such a RARE sight in SG. and yet, Chinese papers didnt show pics. aiyea. The papers must change their attitude leh. I miss the days of waving to Mr Chiam from my house.
