Contributor Leaves
ian b to me Nov 14 2005
Hi there Steven, i wish to be removed from the contributors list. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to write on your site. it was a real experienced for me..
Why leave? You don't have to because you've the right to speak what you feel just as the others. I know there're some comments given by certain people are pretty "harsh" in the sense they speak out of emotions. Don't worry about them.
Actually I don't think it's becuz of that reason that he left, but I still don't understand why should anyone critize his English. It's not an essay competition or the moot courts here. As long as you can get your point across, and readers can comprehend it, you can write in mud for all I care.
I criticised his post, but I am not happy he decided to leave. In fact I am a little disappointed.
Free speech entails criticism of ideas expressed. To profess a belief in free speech but to run away when you have been subjected to one of the components of free speech as if you were wronged is hypocritical.
That's sad to hear of his departure. The last time I checked here he had not responded to any of the comments. And I was quite honestly looking forward to his follow-up, especially given that he felt quite strongly about his opinions. He's left us in a cliff-hanger!
I gave all the controvery surrounding his posts a miss. But were the comments that bad?
ReplyDeletenot really that bad or overly personal. The reason he left is unknown to me. You will have to ask him I suppose.

ReplyDeleteWow, the boy couldnt take a lil criticism?
ReplyDeleteNot that it matters though. His English was horrible.
Good riddance I say.
Now I know why he left.
ReplyDeleteThe one who thinks his English is "so good" should leave instead!
ReplyDeleteThat's right!

Exactly, those who expect good English articles should go for essay competition elsewhere. Dont' have to show off here - not interested!
