A Camera Coming To Your Home Soon?

It seems the PAP government are installing cameras everywhere, except of cause on MRT platforms......

What does it accomplish? Stopping illegal prostitutes? Not really because these women would just take their trade to family neighbourhoods like Toa Payoh, Bedok, Ang Mo Kio...etc. In the past this social evil was confined to a designated red-light district. But not anymore. Such short-sighted measure only hasten the spread of the immoral trade to other corners of the island.

The only other effect is to halt the number of walk-in customers and diners who frequent Geylang for other more legitimate purposes. Small wonder that local shopowners there were not too happy.

But wait a second here, prostitution is already legal in PAP approved brothels, so what is the real agenda?

What it really does achieve is giving authorities the excuse to install cameras on every square inch of this small little island, along every street, on every building, behind every door.

After so many decades, the PAP government have yet to learn that not all problems can be solved with money or a heavy handed approach.

Read on and decide for yourselves:

  1. Is it true? MRT stations still do not have the necessary cameras today?
