I like the 1st poster's pun on words...
"Mee siam", sounds like me "siam" = I hide/avoid
"Mai hum", sounds like "mai" harm = Don't want any harm on me
And so he siam-ed to our friendly Asean neighbour up north. Meanwhile daddy kicks up a furor with our immediate northern neighbour to distract "hum" throwers' attention from son.
