It is non-economical and therefore not feasible to recruit purely regular serviceman for the armed forces (This would mean raising taxes to support a huge regular armed forces). It is important that every male singaporean contributes to the security and safety of our nation.

That being said, i do agree that the exit permit is kinda redundant since the unit would have to be informed and leave taken for a serviceman to leave the country. I do believe the authorities are already looking into the matter and have taken steps on it. The question is then how soon?

Anyway... to the authors and editors of this site:

"you guys have done a great job! I hope all the political parties in singapore reads them. There are indeed many valuable points and argument brought out. Keep it up"

To be Honest, i done even read the Straits Times nowadayskokhowhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11765716262402401650noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5539995.post-1147190891929496492006-05-10T00:08:00.000+08:002006-05-10T00:08:00.000+08:00he not not under arrest, merely not being allowed ...he not not under arrest, merely not being allowed to leave the country

therefore he is not being fixed; he is free to move about in an area of 20km by 30km...jumping into sea also can...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5539995.post-1147180493052084702006-05-09T21:14:00.000+08:002006-05-09T21:14:00.000+08:00... and while we're at it - that requirement for "...... and while we're at it - that requirement for "permission to leave" aka The Exit Permit should go in the bad-ideas bin too.

But why do thing's in half measures: get rid of National Service all together.Ⓜatilah $ingapura⚠️https://www.blogger.com/profile/02652498247201967379noreply@blogger.com
